Encountering hostile reaction after exiting the dungeon and getting ambushed when trying to contact his friends, Jake escaped to the center of the Tutorial mainly focusing on his personal power. During his alchemist training in the Dungeon there was war between two of the survivor groups, Richard Faction and Hayden Faction instigated by William. He stumbled onto a Dungeon of The Malefic Viper and gained his alchemist profession after a month of training. Being a lone hunter he had left his group as soon as they found relative safety. Jake due to his hobby as archer practice and with benefits of his bloodline, shown himself to be exceptional in the Tutorial. With the integration of Earth into the System, The human inhabitants are transported to Tutorials to facilitate the integration process. The Tutorial made his life colorful again.
As he said it himself during his duel with the Sword Saint that it was his fondest memory. With his Life at the stake, suddenly his life felt was no longer Black and White. Killing humans in the Tutorial awoke something inside Jake. Jake's life before the Tutorial, in his own words and what was seen through by the Minotaur Mindchief, was that "It was black and white."
His relationship with his family although not bad, He wasn't content with it either, He found something was lacking. He had trust issues after catching his girlfriend cheating with his close friend Andrew made him pursue his Studies and Career than to focus on his personal life. Jake had always been competitive from his childhood making his brother fear him, He has no regard for authority as he got in arguments with Teachers when growing up where Caleb had to save his ass.
